The INDUSTRY FILM SCHOOL
offers a truly unique production education environment for teens.
The founders of the film school realize that the best
way to learn is in a hands-on environment. That is
why from day one, our students are immersed in a filmmaking
or digital media setting.
Our class size is limited
so that each student can have the experience of being
an "apprentice" in the field. We believe
our students deserve a real-life experience and insight
as to what this industry has to offer. Our instructors
are professionals that are working in the production
field and can bring current events into the classroom. The courses
are intense, full immersion, hands-on filmmaking classes
that develop a responsible and professional filmmaking
community.
The film school’s
focus is on our students and their progress in achieving
their goals. Whether you intend to develop a college
portfolio, sharpen your skills, or simply learn something
new, we guarantee you leave our courses with a unique
and positive experience.
Programs at the Industry
Film School are created as college prep classes for
high school and pre-teen aged students looking to expand
their potential career opportunities, high school and college choices.
 |
Our
film school was founded in the summer of 2004
with a 3 week workshop that introduced students
to a working film crew atmosphere by having
them produce, direct, shoot and work various
crew positions. These students created a short
film that was screened at the Garden State Film
Festival. |
The Production and Filmmaking Technique
courses are designed as building blocks to develop a
student’s career in filmmaking. Each technique
course includes hands-on projects that advance with
each class module. Whether a student is new to filmmaking
or comes with previous experience, the Filmmaking Technique
courses will help them develop their professional skills.
Programs
are developed, evaluated, and taught by certified teachers
and professionals in the field. Certificate students
also find valuable opportunities to network with instructors,
classmates and other professionals.
