Film School Students at Skywalker Ranch

During our production of ‘Dream Camp: California’, one of our stops was at the legendary Skywalker Ranch. What an amazing place. From the moment you walk through the front doors you feel like you’ve entered a new world. We were taken through the sound recording rooms and dub stage where we given a demonstration of how they record music for video games and films. Finally we ended up in the screening room where the THX system was first tested fully equipped with sub-woofers under the seats. We were shown clips of ‘Star Wars’ and ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ and had sound designers explain the process of creating sound for films. What a great group of people and I look forward to bringing some students back soon for a follow up visit and maybe even to mix our next project.
